Where is my Desktop ?

In windows 8 there is no desktop my friend not even icons  it has been replaced by  Home Screen , by this screen you can access your programs .
you will find a dynamic tiles showing information instead of icons , you can see a number of tiles based on your resolution . you can access other tiles that will be shown if you swipe right on tablet or use scroll bar on bottom for your desktop or laptop . now it's easy to quickly access your program, files ...

Where is my Start Button ?

Microsoft hide the start button into an app you can switch to it using your home screen, you can switch between the two options using windows key or you can use charms, it's hidden. on tablet you get it by swiping left from right bezel. on desktop or laptop you will find it by navigate your mouse pointer to the left or right corner on the bottom of the screen.

Windows Store .

Microsoft says that developers can offer their apps for free or sell them. If they decide to sell, Microsoft will take 30% cut. But if an app makes more than $25,000 than Microsoft will reduce its share to 20%.

 don't worry control panel still there but it's deeply buried , instead you can find settings panel that uses modern UI easier and has fewer options .
if you need more options you will turn to the old panel and use old settings .

Your first look at the new ui will differ from previous versions , i saw it so flat so dark very similar icons in the toolbar just like it presents a monochrome style .

Expression Blend is a powerful design tool that lets designers modify the look and feel of applications, without requiring them to manually code XAML. The version of Expression Blend that ships with Visual Studio 2012 is only able to work with Windows Store projects. For some reason, you can't use it on other project types. When Expression Blend runs, it starts in its own window outside the Visual Studio 2012 environment, but it does pick up the files from the open solution. If you go back into Visual Studio 2012, the IDE will prompt you that the files have been modified.

Second update for iOS 6, fixing a WiFi bug that affects the iPhone 5 and iPad mini.  cellular data overages for some users. 
the bug allow you to connect to WiFi but not all your data will go through the network, 


pushing a fix to a WiFi bug in iOS 6 that targets the iPhone 5 and iPad mini was what apple done.

Apple's website simply said the 6.0.2 update will fix the WiFi bug "very little information about the fix"

 It was the second fix since apple released iOS 6 in September .First fix was for the lines across iPhone's virtual keyboard, inability to perform over-the-air updates on the iPhone 5 and the removal of meetings from the calendar after the user accepts an invitation to attend.


It's expected that Apple will sell 40 million iPhones in the quarter ending on Dec. 31 with 48 percent increase over what sold during previous quarter.





quarter-to-quarter sales jumped almost 118 percent, from 17 million to 37 million units.
